This is the summer of…

A garden teeming with life—pink and orange zinnias, emerald leaves of basil, zucchini and cucumbers and clusters of cherry tomatoes dripping off the vine like jewels.

Reading The Biggest Story Bible with the boys and getting hilarious questions on the daily. “So… does Jesus have super powers like Hulk?”

Getting to know our precious Alden boy! He has a wispy orange mohawk, bright blue eyes, and the sweetest personality ever. I adore him.

Going to The Lion King play and watching The Lion King movie and listening to The Lion King soundtrack.

Wearing a bathing suit two months postpartum, because my body still deserves to enjoy the sun and the water. 

Reading Throne of Glass (someone please discuss this series with me?!) and watching The Bear (a chaotic delight) and listening to the sound of silence whenever I can (aka: rarely).

Celebrating 8 years of marriage with Josh! I still can’t believe I get to do life with this man forever. He’s the best.

Library story time in the morning, splash pad play dates in the afternoon, and popsicle baths in the evening. 

A home teeming with life—mundane, magical, messy life. Spills and tantrums, family dinners and dance parties, naps and tears and laughter and joy. This is the summer, indeed.
